What’s a damage or loss waiver and how does it work?

The long answer

 

The damage waiver protects you in the event of accidental damage or theft of the vehicle. It’s included in the cost of your hire and means your financial responsibility is limited should something go wrong. If you want to reduce that amount (known as “the excess”) further you can purchase additional protection products. Roadside Assistance Protection is also available reducing your financial responsibility for the following - tyre and glass repair or replacement costs, except when part of a larger repair, replacement keys costs, and all recovery and call out charges imposed by our chosen roadside assistance providers as a result of a fault caused by renter error.
