Collision Damage Waiver with Theft Protection (CDWTP) is an optional protection product which reduces the excess in the event of damage to or theft of the vehicle when no responsible third party is identified.
If CDWTP is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase at the rental counter. If purchased or included in the reservation, the following excess applies depending on the rented car category:
Mini, Economy and Intermediate Van: 17,000 MAD
Compact and Intermediate: 23,000 MAD
Compact SUV, Intermediate and Standard SUV: 28,000 MAD
Standard and Standard Van: 28,000 MAD
Premiums and Passenger Vans: 40,000 MAD
Before purchasing CDWTP, it is advisable to determine if the renter's personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If CDWTP is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. CDWTP is not insurance.
We Refill—This option allows the renter to pay at the end of the rental for fuel used but not replaced. The price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.
Pre-pay Fuel—This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of fuel at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused fuel.
Customer Refills—This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as received to avoid extra fuel charges.
All major credit cards, issued by either Visa, Mastercard or American Express, are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. Pre-paid cards, cash and cheques are not accepted. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. The deposit is 10,000 MAD for the car categories Mini, Economy, and Compact, and 20,000 MAD for all other car categories. Cash, prepaid cards or debit cards can be used at the end of the rental to pay for any outstanding balances, but the deposit must be secured with a credit card at the start of the rental.
Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) is an optional product and allows customers to waive financial responsibility for recovery and call-out charges imposed by our chosen roadside assistance providers because of a fault caused by renter error. RAP does not apply if there is a breach of the rental agreement.
Before purchasing RAP, it is advisable to determine if the renter's personal coverage is adequate to cover these charges. If RAP is declined, the renter will be required to pay any applicable charges and to seek compensation from their carrier of their personal coverage. RAP is not insurance.
All drivers must present a full valid driving licence and must have held the licence for a minimum of one year, and at least three years to rent the categories Standard, Standard SUV, Passenger Van and Premium. In addition, all renters must provide a valid government-issued photo ID such as a passport or ID card. A valid credit card in the renter's name must be presented upon collection of the vehicle.
If the driving licence is written in a language and characters different from those of the country of rental, an International Driving Permit is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licences from countries that are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
Please note that we reserve the right to request additional ID or conduct further identification checks if needed, which may include an identity check with an external organisation.
Third-Party Liability Protection (SLP) is included in all rentals and covers the renter up to a maximum of 20,000 MAD for third-party bodily injury and death, and up to 50,000,000 MAD for damage to third-party property.
If no other Damage Waiver (CDWTP) protection product is either included or purchased, the renter is liable up to the total value of the vehicle in case of damage, loss or theft.
