Rental Policies

All drivers must meet our Renter requirements (See ‘Renter Requirements’) including our minimum age and experience requirements, be present at the pick-up and present a valid and legible driver's license in English which includes a photo of the driver, valid for at least one year from entry to Israel. If the driver’s license is not written in English, the Renter must additionally hold and provide Eldan with an International Driver’s Permit together with the driver’s license issued by the Renter’s country of origin. All drivers must produce a valid passport. All location policies that apply to the Renter will also apply to the additional driver. Additional authorized driver fee- 5.00 USD per day -max 225.00 USD per rental. If additional drivers do not have a Tourist Visa the rental will have a charge for VAT of 17 percent.

All Renters must be at least 18 years of age, be present at the pick-up and present a valid and legible driver's license in English and suitable for the type of rented vehicle which includes a photo of the driver and that has been in effect for a minimum of two (2) years, valid for at least one year from entry to Israel. If the driver’s license is not written in English, the Renter must additionally hold and provide Eldan with an International Driver’s Permit together with the driver’s license issued by the Renter’s country of origin.
Renters age 18-23 (inclusive) (young drivers) may rent Mini, Economy, Compact, and Intermediate only and will be charged a Young Driver extra payment in the amount of 25.00 USD per day -max 1110.00 USD per rental for Renters aged 18-20, and 14.00 USD per day -max 618.00 USD per rental for Renters aged 21-23. All payments hereunder shall be charged VAT (currently 17%) unless the Renter presents a valid Tourist Visa. 

Vehicles may not be driven beyond the borders of the State of Israel as well as within the areas designated as Area A in the agreement signed between the state of Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Additional information may be provided at the time of rental.

One way rentals are allowed between pick up at the rental counter and other specific city locations in Israel, without a drop charge or minimum day rental except in respect of Eilat. For one way rentals that drop off or originate in Eilat, the vehicle must be rented for 3 or more days in order for the drop fee to be waived. If the vehicle is rented for less than 3 days a drop charge of 225.00 USD will apply. Please check at the rental counter upon arrival for complete one-way rental information.

CDWTP - Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection - available for purchase at the rental counter only unless it is expressly noted in the reservation that such coverage is included in the rental price. CDWTP provides coverage for theft of the vehicle and damage or total loss of the vehicle due to a car accident, whether caused by the renter or as a result of damage caused by a third party. CDW-TP coverage remains subject to payment of the excess (deductible) payment for each damage or loss separately whether such damage is caused by the renter or as a result of damage caused by a third party. Coverage does not include damage caused by prohibited use and damage to the undercarriage, roof, tires of the vehicle for which the renter is fully responsible. This coverage is not valid outside of the State of Israel (including Tabah) and within the areas designated as Area A in the agreement signed between the state of Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Loss of personal belongings is not covered. There may be other exclusions, further information is available at the Enterprise rental counter. The cost of this coverage varies by car group.
If the coverage is not included in the rental price, renters Choosing not to purchase this coverage means the renter chose to utilize the CDW and TP coverage obtained through a credit card company (and not through the rental company) and in such case renter will be required to provide security through a credit card in an amount no less than US$ 2,500 and will be responsible for any damage, theft or loss to the vehicle or its accessories. It is renter’s responsibility to verify the terms of such coverage with the credit card company.
 

Excess Protection (EP) reduces the applicable deductible to zero in the event of damage or theft of the vehicle when no responsible third party is identified. If EP is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase at the rental counter. If not included in the reservation, the purchase of CDWTP is required to be able to purchase EP. The coverage is not valid outside of the state of Israel (including Tabah).
Before purchasing EP, it is advised to determine if personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage, or impound fees. If EP is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. EP is not insurance.

Vehicles are rented with a full tank and must be returned in the same condition. If the vehicle is returned with less than a full tank of fuel, the renter will be charged for the difference at the fuel market price per litre plus a 35 percent service charge. VAT will apply only for Israeli citizens under applicable law. Tourists holding a Tourist Visa do not incur VAT.

LIABILITY DAMAGE WAIVER (LDW) which provides coverage for third party liability is mandatory and is included in the rental cost. 

The purchase of Collision Damage Waiver-Theft Protection (CDW-TP) is mandatory at the rental counter unless you choose to utilize the CDW and TP coverage you obtained through your credit card company.  See LDW and CDW-TP for further details.

Accepted methods of payment:
Credit cards: Amex, Diners, Mastercard and Visa are accepted.
Security Deposits, SD — for each rental, a deposit will be held through your credit card for the estimated amount of the rental plus a security deposit which may vary based on the vehicle type, type of reservation, type of coverages etc., all of which are subject to the approval of the credit card company. The Security Deposit will be authorised on the Renter's credit card at the time of rental. The minimum authorisation is 250 USD. It is hereby clarified that if you choose to utilise the CDW and TP coverage obtained through your credit card company (and not through the rental company) then such authorisation shall be no less than 2,500 USD (See 'Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection'). Subject to any legal limitations under applicable law, cash and debit cards are not accepted methods of payment.

Roadside Assistance Protection: Enterprise offers roadside assistance at all locations within the State of Israel but will not be provided outside of Israel *including Tabah* and within the areas designated as Area A in the agreement signed between the state of Israel and the Palestinian Authority. In the event of a breakdown this service is free. Roadside assistance also offers services in case of: a flat tyre, lockout, fuel delivery and key replacement—costs may vary between incidents. Roadside assistance is void and of no effect if, at the time of the incident requiring roadside assistance, the renter or authorised drivers are in violation of the Rental Agreement and Rental Terms provided to the renter at the Enterprise rental counter, including, without limitation, the prohibited uses and violations set forth therein. In such cases, roadside assistance will be available but standard charges will apply. Enterprise rental locations do not provide direct roadside assistance to the customer. This assistance is provided by Eldan on behalf of Enterprise. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 972-3-5579000 and following the prompts listed.

All drivers must present a legible driver's license, in English and suitable for the type of rented vehicle which includes a photo of the driver and that has been in effect for a minimum of two (2) years and be valid for at least one year from entry to Israel. If the license is not written in English, the Renter must produce a with an International Driver’s Permit together with the driver’s license issued by the Renter’s country of origin. All drivers must produce a valid passport. All drivers must present a major credit card in his/her own name at the time of rental.
In addition to the above, the credit card shall be used as security for any payment due by the Renter to Enterprise in accordance with the Agreement and the Rental Terms, up to the amount specified in the Agreement, subject to the approval of the credit card company (herein, the “Security”), and this Security shall be renewed from time to time
There is a mandatory airport service fee of 45.00 USD per rental assessed at all airport locations.
Israeli citizens, Israeli Passport holders and non-tourist visa holders pay 17% VAT. 

Available for purchase at the rental counter only. Choosing this coverage removes excess (deductible) payment for damage to the windshield of the vehicle and provides full coverage except for such damages as detailed in the rental contract.
